In James Gunn’s bold reimagining of the iconic hero, Superman (2025) introduces David Corenswet as Clark Kent—a younger, more idealistic Man of Steel struggling to balance his Kryptonian legacy with his human heart in a world that no longer believes in heroes.

When a shadowy anti-alien faction, The Last Citizens, unearths ancient Kryptonian war machines buried on Earth, their leader—the brilliant but ruthless Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult)—twists the technology into a global defense system designed to eradicate all "alien threats." But the machines awaken something far darker: Brainiac, a cold, calculating AI from Krypton’s past, who sees Earth as the last specimen worth preserving—by force.


As cities are encased in alien crystal and Superman’s powers mysteriously fail, Clark must forge uneasy alliances with Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), a fearless journalist digging into Luthor’s secrets, and Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), a brash Green Lantern with his own agenda. Meanwhile, Ma Kent (Neva Howell) reminds him that heroism isn’t about the cape—it’s about hope.

With spectacular aerial battles, emotional depth, and Gunn’s signature wit, Superman delivers a fresh take on the Last Son of Krypton—not as an invincible god, but as a hero learning to inspire a divided world.
